Who is Harlie?

After graduating with a BFA in Graphic and Web Design from The Art Institute, I embarked on a mission to discover where my career would take me and where I fit in the design world. I was fortunate to have opportunities to work in wholesale promotional products, at a local print shop, with a marketing agency, as an in-house designer for a global healthcare company, as a freelancer, and as a long-term designer for a non-profit group. As I explored the different avenues of modern graphic design and its functions in today’s world, I developed a vast breadth of skills. I also found what kind of people and businesses I truly enjoyed working with, and which ones were just not my cup of tea.

As a dedicated local business supporter, I decided providing my creative services to small businesses and individuals was how I wanted my creative work to impact the world. So, I decided to create my own studio. My intention with this studio is to provide reasonably priced creative direction and designs to the people and businesses in my community that need it. I love to offer a collaborative approach when I work with clients, because I believe when everyone is immersed in the creative process of designing, the outcome is far more impactful and long lasting.

I have a unique way of approaching creative projects, and enjoy unconventional approaches to design. I keep up with design trends in current pop culture, as well as in underground and local scenes. I prioritize the principles of graphic design, and take special care with the details. I think outside of the box and I'm not afraid to push the boundaries of what the mainstream deems "good design".

Now that you know a little about me, I want to know about you! What vision do you have for your business, band, brand, project, etc.? How can I help bring it to life? Send me a message and let's have fun being creative together!
